That we are child-led, child focused and accessible for all.  We are non-for-profit and community based. Teachers are qualified and are current in practice.   We have amazing environments and resources that encourages and fosters discovery and inquiry and views children as confident, competent and curious learners.

When I am not working, I like to spend time with family and friends and reading a good book.

Our tamariki! Being able to make a positive impact on their day, teaching them new things and learning new things from them, together we all have so much aroha and fun, because we are all about our tamariki.

Wanaka for sure, my home away from home! And dream destination I would love to go back to Canada and America one day and also do a big Europe trip.

Kindergarten is community owned, not for profit, all trained teachers, enabling money to be spent on the children’s education. This means better learning, development, and long term outcomes for children.

If I had a superpower it would be teleportation, where I could instantly go anywhere in the world. This would mean I could visit my children, family and friends in a flash, as well as travel to interesting places and events without flying.

As a youngster I attended Thomas Street Kindergarten, my first kindergarten job was as a teacher at the same kindergarten and my 3 boys have all been through kindergarten in Ashburton.  I have always loved the way children are valued and are given the freedom to learn from play!

I love to travel anywhere in the Pacific Islands!!!

I enjoy working in the kindergarten because I love watching the children grow and learn new things in the early years of their journey in life.

My favourite thing I love doing is catching up with my family and friends in the weekends and having fun.
